Blast into the new Inflata-Space Academy located in Kids In Charge! and challenge yourself to physical activities as a future space explorer. Experience the thrill of bouncing in a moon walk, challenging others in the alien world obstacle course, racing down a slide, or wearing a Velcro suit as you launch through the air! Height and weight restrictions apply.

From July 3-5, MOSI will celebrate Independence Day by offering FREE admission with a purchase of a general admission ticket. Spend July 4 with family and experience over 450 hands-on exhibits, an IMAX Dome Theatre film, and Kids in Charge! The Children’s Science Center. (Ticket must be of equal or lesser value; cannot be combined with any other offers. Excludes special engagement IMAX films and exhibitions.)

Join the Flintstones, Scooby Doo and Tweety Bird as they celebrate the Kids In Charge! 4th-year Birthday Party with the opening of MOSI’s newest exhibition, ANIMATION featuring Cartoon Network. Marvel as Dexter cooks up a cake-like concoction in his laboratory while you sample food from local restaurants. Enjoy face painting, balloon artists, contests and prize giveaways. Party activities are FREE with paid MOSI admission.

Kids In Charge! The Children's Science Center

“The Wonders of Children’s Museums” exhibit features: a scaled model of the “Banyan Tree,” the centerpiece exhibit at the future C’mon; a parent resource center with information about child development, learning and play from the Association of Children’s Museums, Born Learning and a map of Florida children’s museums; a small exhibit of various cultural masks from the museum’s O’Connell Collection of folk art artifacts; and a series of banners explaining how children’s museums help families play, learn and dream together.

iPhoneDevCamp - Florida
July 31 - August 2, 2009

A three day event at MOSI - Attendance is open to all graphic designers, Cocoa Touch developers, web developers, UI designers, and testers, beginners to experts, all working together over the weekend. Development projects will include both solo and team efforts. While some attendees will wish to work solo during the event, we encourage attendees to team up, based on expertise, to work in ad-hoc project development teams.
