MOSI and Verizon Fios have joined forces to host Press Play, a video gaming expo, during the first two weekends in November. Press Play will take place in MOSI’s newly renovated “do-it-yourself” laboratory, Idea Zone. The event is included with MOSI admission. Gamers who pre-register for the Nov. 4 event will receive free admission. To register, call 813-987-6000.
On Nov. 4, from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m., gamers can participate in the Madden 13 Qualification Rounds. Finalists will compete for prizes and bragging rights in the final round on Nov. 11. Tournament finalists will receive free admission to the final round.
On Nov. 10 – 11, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., gamers will be able to demonstrate their mad skills when they compete against local gamers and experts around the world. Attendees will be able to play, win prizes, experience the latest in gaming technology and hang with fellow gamers. Game designers from ARTIX Entertainment, a local gaming software company, will be available to answer questions and mentor aspiring designers.
