Idea Zone is MOSI's new “do-it-yourself” laboratory with an open ended platform to allow students of all ages to explore, learn and have fun. 

The Idea Zone now offers Executive Workshops for Adults, Family and Youth Activities, Make-and-Take Projects and special events to stimulate creative thinking, STEM-education, and innovation utilizing technology!

     Teens create computer art and animation with techno tools.   

MOSI's 3-D Printer helps transform your ideas into tangible creations!   

   A live television studio combines puppetry and technology

Idea Zone will include a media studio, fabrication lab, simulation center and sciences lab – a full technological playground! The Idea Zone will be a place where:

• A Kindergartner can create a soccer-plating robot,

• An elementary school student can invent their own toys,

• A middle school student can create a video game,

• A high school student can work on industrial design and

• Adults can take part in the “space race” of rocketry and aerospace design.

   

                                           

MOSI host public programming inside Idea Zone on the weekends.  Some of the Idea Zone public programming activities include high-tech gaming and simulations, fashion design, robot building, and science experiments.  Make your imagination a reality in MOSI’s Idea Zone in one of our weekend play shops or themed weekend events listed below.  Hours are Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Monday through Friday 1 - 4 p.m.  Hours are subject to change if private programs are booked inside Idea Zone.  Please call 813-987-6000 for more information and/or questions.
