LEAD FOOD SERVICE CLERK
Part Time Position
Weekday & Weekend Availability Required
This position is responsible for providing daily operational support and excellent customer service to our guests in the MOSI Café, concessions, and other food services areas as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Opening & closing procedures in food service areas
Assigns cash drawers to scheduled Cafe staff and balances register daily
Processes daily deposits as scheduled
Ensures café merchandise is properly priced and displayed
Assists with troubleshooting within areas of responsibility
Food preparation and presentation
Cleaning in the food services areas, including concessions, seating areas inside and out, and maintaining appropriate cleanliness in the kitchen and service areas as required by law
Stocking and cashiering as needed
Waiting on customers with enthusiasm and efficiency
QUALIFICATIONS:
Food Service and cash handling experience preferred
Some computer experience required
Excellent customer service skills
Self-motivated
CUSTODIAN
Facilities Department
Part-time Position
Weekday & Weekend availability required
Responsibilities:
Sweeps and mops floors
Dusts, polishes furniture
Cleans restrooms and replaces supplies
Disposes of wastepaper and trash
Washes windows
Cleans exhibits
Moves furniture and equipment, delivers supplies, and runs errands
Keeps outside premises and grounds in an orderly condition free of litter
Requirements:
Ability to read and follow instructions and handle multiple tasks routinely.
Frequent walking, bending, stooping, squatting, and crouching.
Occasional lifting and carrying of up to 50 lbs.
Knowledge of use of chemicals/cleaning agents preferred.
BUS DRIVER
Education Department
Part-Time Position
Responsible for driving a bus and monitoring of Guests/Program Participants on board.
Inspects bus thoroughly before starting the run to detect any mechanical or other malfunction, which would prevent the safe delivery of Guests and/or Program Participants.
Follows exact schedule making stops and pick up of Guests/Program Participants at locations based on schedule provided.
Observes all state, city and local laws and regulations.
Supervise the seating of Guests/Program Participants to equalize weight distribution.
Assists chaperones in resolving disciplinary problems and prepares proper reports for the Vice President of Education on more difficult problems.
Instructs Guests/Program Participants on the proper methods to board and depart from the bus and sees that these instructions are carefully observed.
Possesses thorough knowledge of bus operation; safety and safety equipment, and first aid procedures.
Ability to communicate in a positive manner with Guests/Program Participants.
Candidates must be 21 years of age or older
High School Diploma or GED preferred; completion of the tenth school grade required
Two years of successful bus driving experience required
Possession of a valid Florida Class “B” Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with passenger Endorsement required (S)
Applicants should be familiar with the main roadways in the county.
Applicants who have been found guilty of a DUI or who have tested positive for a controlled substance will be disqualified
Must be approved to work with children (Clear Level II Background Screening through Department of Children & Families required)
Qualified candidates must be able to meet and complete OTETA (Omnibus Transportation Employee Testing Act) and DOT (Department of Transportation) testing

TECHNOLOGY INSTRUCTOR
Summer Science Camp, Education Department
Inspire kids and teens to innovators through technology and engineering!
Apply your technical skills and ability to create a fun and exciting learning environment where children and teens can become active creators of technology-based projects. Designing Web pages, animating in 3D, programming computer games, or building robots are just a few of the activities led by our technology instructors.
Prepare and implement innovative, project-oriented, hands-on classes and camps.
Set the tone and excitement level to optimize a positive summer camp experience for all participants.
Greet parents and students, take attendance, and be responsible for students.
Present planned activities pertaining to assigned classes in electronic form.
Qualifications:
Proficient in creating animation, robotics, video production, music production or computer projects like computer games.
Certified Florida Teaching Credential a plus but not required.
Two years experience instructing and/or working with children required.
Skilled in using multimedia and/or programming applications.
Dependable and flexible with work schedule and duties.
Must be approved to work with children (Clear Level II Background Screening through Department of Children & Families required).
ENGINEERING / FABRICATION INSTRUCTOR
Inspire kids and teens to engineer new ideas and to create with high-tech tools!
Apply your building and engineering skills and ability to create rewarding challenges that motivate and inspire students. Design 3D models, piece together robots, use fabrication technologies such as 3D printing and laser cutting to make prototypes. Build and tinker you way through an exciting and fun week of camp.
Prepare and implement innovative, hands-on classes and camps.
Proficient in electronics, computer-aided design, robotics, using shop tools, CNC machines and other design technologies.
Skilled in organizing students to build engineering projects.
