We have Birthday Parties Down to a SCIENCE!
Book Any of our Themed Activities for Your Child's Birthday and Just Relax and Have Fun!

Our highly-trained staff will take care of setup, clean up and everything in between. All parties include a party room for an hour and a half, party host, choice of activity theme and admission to the museum for up to 30 guests. We provide the decorations, paper goods, ice cream, drinks and energy to keep everyone entertained.

Party Times: 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 3 p.m., and 4 p.m.

Choose from the following party themes. Each activity lasts approximately 30 minutes:

Butterflies and Bugs(Ages 1 - 5)
Discover all kinds of fun and interesting facts about insects. Create your own butterfly or caterpillar to take home!

Dino-mite Dinosaurs (Ages 1 - 7)
Explore what makes a fossil stand the test of time. See and feel different characteristics of teeth between a carnivore and an herbivore. Make a fossil cast of a dinosaur tooth to take home.

Slimy Science (Ages 5+)
Matter is all around us, but we like to specialize in the type that squishes and oozes all around. Make a gooey batch to take home.

Wizard's Workshop (Ages 7+)
Become a master of invisible writing with our clear potions. Do you have what it takes to be a contender in our fiery dueling club?

Planetary Explorers (Ages 8+)
Explore the world of space travel and see what makes rockets go. Then, rendezvous with a comet by making one with your friends.

CSI: MOSI (Ages 10+)
Learn what it takes to be a forensic scientist. Create and lift fingerprints and decipher hidden messages to solve a crime!

Astronaut Birthday Blast* (Height Restrictions Apply)
Calling all space cadets, bounce into the MOSI Astronaut Training Adventure for a 1-hour, Inflata-space experience. Based your cadet rankings, experience the moon walk, EVAC Slide, EVA Jump, or the Obstacle Course. Jump, bounce and play with your friends. Adults can play too! Height and weight restrictions apply.

Seeing Stars Party* (Ages 6+)
Enjoy a private show in our Saunders Planetarium with your party and get a closer look at the stars in the sky. See what the night sky looks like on your birthday, when you were born, and at future birthdays. Late afternoon and early evening hours available.

Be A Star Party* (Ages 10+)
See if you've got what it takes! Have a ROCK BAND party with your friends in our Coleman Science Works Theater! Create your own band, sing along and challenge each other to music battles. Late afternoon and early evening hours available.

Invention-inator Birthday Bash* (Ages 8+)
Celebrate the imagination and ingenuity of everyone's favorite kid inventors, Phineas & Ferb. Go on an invention spree in MOSI's Idea Zone to create a fun-tastic Rube Goldberg machine. Try not to get into too much trouble!

Robots Rule! Birthday* (Ages 10+)
Build and control robotic creatures to play games like robo-tag, robo-soccer and robo-acrobatics for plenty of robo-fun!

Walk the Ropes Birthday Challenge** (Height Restrictions Apply)
You and your friends will harness up to experience a thrilling birthday that's way up there! This party includes a 1-hour private party room plus 1-hour on MOSI's SkyTrail Ropes Course for up to 30 guests. Minimum participant height is 48". Weather dependent.

*Additional fee of $100 for MOSI Members, $130 for Nonmembers

**Flat fee of $375 for members, $500 for nonmembers. Maximum of 30 guests.

Birthday Party Parking Facts:

MOSI recently completed a parking improvement project including the refurbishing of our parking lots and instituting a paid-parking system.  A variety of benefits our guests will now enjoy include newly resurfaced lots, more secure parking with a single access point and better traffic flow for our guest and schools, including a brand-new entrance on 50th Street, just south of our current entrance.  If you have any questions, a MOSI representative is available everyday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at (813) 987-6000 to answer any questions. 

• Parents hosting birthday parties may choose to pay a flat fee to cover their guests’ parking.  This price is $40 for a single party and $80 for a double-party.
•  MOSI members can park for free when attending birthday parties.
•  The Birthday Party parent will receive free parking for up to 2 vehicles.
• All other birthday party guests will be required to pay for parking.  The cost to park at MOSI is $4 per car.  

Birthday Party Guest Drop-Off Information:

Enter MOSI property through the brand new 50th Street entrance; follow the road through the Back Woods and past the guest parking lot to the guest drop-off area. Parents may temporarily park the car in the drop-off lane to escort their child to the party room located in Kids In Charge.
