From The Farm To The Fridge exhibit provides guests with an opportunity to milk a life-sized mechanical cow while learning more about the true source of the calcium-enriched beverage--milk. The exhibit details the various steps of the milking process in a colorful and educational way and also includes various other features such as cow feed samples and a video filmed at a real Florida dairy farm.

YU-GI-OH! SANCTIONED SWISS-STYLE ADVANCED FORMAT TOURNAMENT
Ages 12 and Under Every Sunday

Registration starts at 10:30 a.m. in the Center for Learning
Game play from 11:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Lunch Break from 1 - 2 p.m. (2 rounds of play before lunch)
You are invited to play a thrilling game of Yu-Gi-Oh! in a sanctioned Upper Deck Entertainment 4-round Swiss Tournament (win or lose you keep on playing -- NO single elimination).
Bring a dueling deck of at least 40 cards that abide by the current Advanced Format List and challenge other duelists in a friendly competition. Ages 13 and over tournament players must fill out a deck list and submit the list prior to the start of round 2. Ages 12 and under tournament player decks will be checked by the judges. Players do not lose cards, money, or any other items if they lose a game. Prizes to top 8 place finishers in both groups!
Tournament registration fee: $8 per duelist

BioWorks Butterfly Garden
Activity Times: 12:30-1:30 p.m., 4:00-5:00 p.m.
Location: Outside Main Entrance
BioWorks Butterfly Garden is an engineered eco-system that emulates natural wetlands and demonstrates how the natural wetlands clean water. BioWorks contains five hands-on components: microbiology station with microscope viewing; biology station and nutrient puzzle; botany station with magnifying glasses; engineering station with sedimen-settling jars; and chemistry station for pH measuirng. BioWorks also houses a free flying butterfly garden.

MOSI's High Wire Bike
Activity Times: 11:20-12:20 p.m., 2:50-3:50 p.m.
Location: Third Floor
Pedal a bicycle balanced on a 1-inch steel cable suspended 30 feet above the ground! The longest high wire bike in any U.S. museum. Guests will be harnessed into the bike and can ride across a 98-foot-long cable suspended 30 feet above the ground.
As death defying as this may sound, it's actually quite safe as the bike is counterweighted. However, a safety net is placed below the ride to set riders' minds at ease. As MOSI's InterActors will explain, the laws of physics make it impossible to fall off. Click here for more information!

See stellar nurseries where stars are being formed. See star clusters so far away that light-traveling at 186,000 miles per second-takes tens of thousands of years to make it to your eye. SkyWatch is free and open to the public.
Weather permitting – clear skies are required to use the telescopes, SkyWatch will be cancelled if it is raining or cloudy.

VERIZON CHALLENGER LEARNING CENTER
Born out of tragedy, the Challenger Learning Center is a living memorial to the crew of the shuttle orbiter Challenger. It is a unique opportunity for all ages to explore the universe through the use of space simulators. Experience what it is like to be part of a space exploration crew by experimenting with new technology, robotics, stellar navigation, and more. The center offers birthday parties, day camps, and corporate teambuilding workshops. |
